Duane Gordon

Inks & Watercolors

This is an extremely skillful artist who can, and does, capture beauty in many of the everyday things we see around us. His pictorial images are so beautifully depicted that it is hard to imagine anyone putting that amount of work into their paintings. His love of rural settings is obvious in his portrayals of old country farm houses, farm equipment, old gas stations etc. However, living close to the ocean has also allowed him to create the rocky formations often seen on the rugged coast. His perspective in these paintings and his detailed landscapes demonstrate his ability to bring the viewer right "'into" the paintings. These qualities, coupled with his extra-ordinary design ability make his paintings outstanding.

Duane Gordon's painting technique contrasts the freedom of watercolor with the highly disciplined line of pen and ink. Fresh and crisp in execution, the results are uniquely his own.

He is an A/B Fine Arts graduate of the University of Southern California.

Design graduate of Art Center College, Los Angeles.

Design instructor at Art Center College and Chouinard Art Institute, Los Angeles.

He has had numerous successful Exhibitions throughout the U.S. and has collectors of his work all over the world.

Matted unframed watercolors available also.
